Indian Spice Land Grocery began with a simple vision: to create a welcoming place where the Indian community in Nova Scotia could find the authentic ingredients and flavors they grew up with — all while introducing the richness of Indian cuisine to a wider audience.

Founded in 2023 by Basil Paul & Sunish Gopalan an immigrant with a passion for food and community, our first store opened in Halifax, Nova Scotia, fueled by the desire to serve families like ours with the freshest produce, aromatic spices, and trusted Indian brands.
